G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ meeting highlights commitments and progress, and endorses GI Hub’s InfraTech work
The G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) gathered for their third official meeting under the Indonesian G20 Presidency on 15 and 16 July 2022. The discussions reaffirmed the public and private sectors alignment on many actions for strong, sustainable, balanced, and inclusive growth and recovery.
The FMCBG meetings and the Infrastructure Investor's Dialogue organised by the G20 Indonesia Presidency, OECD, D20-Long-term Investors Club, and the GI Hub highlighted how closely governments and the industry are tracking on issues like sustainable investment; the impacts of inflation and slow recovery - particularly on vulnerable people; and the absolute urgency and priority of addressing the climate crisis.
We are pleased to report the endorsement of our work on infrastructure technology / InfraTech by the G20 FMCBG. We have produced a G20 Blueprint for Scaling Up InfraTech Financing and Development in collaboration with the Indonesian G20 Presidency and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), and expanded our library of InfraTech case studies with AIIB, progressing the G20 InfraTech Agenda created under the Saudi Arabian G20 Presidency.
